TERMS & CONDITIONS
PRINCIPAL TERMS
1. This agreement commences upon your acceptance in the Declaration section of this web sign-up process. If you did not sign up on the club premises, you have 14 full days from the date of sign-up to cancel this agreement for any reason. Please note that the initial payment made upon sign-up is NON-REFUNDABLE. To exercise this right, you must inform the club by post, email, or telephone using the contact details below. If you have used the facilities before requesting cancellation, your refund will be reduced on a pro-rata basis for the number of days of use.
2. Your membership begins immediately upon sign-up.
3. You are entitled to all rights and privileges corresponding to your selected membership type.
FEES AND CHARGES
4. The joining fee/initial payment is payable immediately upon sign-up and is non-refundable.
5. The Direct Debit amount is due monthly. You are obligated to make a minimum of three monthly payments, starting with the first on the Direct Debit Payment Date and subsequently every month. Non-attendance does not relieve you of this obligation, except under the cancellation terms outlined below.
6. If any payment fails (e.g., Direct Debit is returned unpaid), you will be charged a £25 administration fee, and your credit score may be affected.
7. You must notify us promptly of any changes to your membership details.
8. Failure to pay any amount due for over 90 days may result in your account being passed to a third-party collection agency. You will be responsible for any additional costs incurred during this process.
CANCELLATION POLICY
9. Membership can only be cancelled with 90 days’ written notice and payment of:
a) The current month’s Direct Debit amount, and
b) A cancellation fee equal to three further Direct Debit payments.
Membership obligations will continue until all outstanding payments are settled, unless:
• You meet specific criteria outlined in clauses 10–14.
10. Relocation: Membership may be cancelled if you relocate more than 20 miles from the facility, subject to proof of address (e.g., utility bill or bank statement) and 90 days’ notice.
11. Long-Term Illness or Injury: Membership may be cancelled with appropriate medical documentation confirming an illness or injury that prohibits exercise for 3 months or longer.
12. Redundancy: Membership may be cancelled upon proof of redundancy or similar loss of livelihood.
13. Pregnancy: Membership may be cancelled with written proof of pregnancy.
Note: Cancellation will not take effect until appropriate documentation is received by the club.
14. Breach of Contract: Membership may be cancelled if the club fails to provide services or facilities reasonably expected under this agreement.
15. Temporary Illness or Injury: Membership may be frozen (not cancelled) for medical reasons with appropriate documentation. Payments will recommence after the freeze period.
LIABILITY
16. You agree to use the facilities and equipment at your own risk. The gym will not be held responsible for any injuries, accidents, or damages caused by your own actions, misuse of equipment, or failure to follow instructions or safety guidelines. It is your responsibility to ensure you are fit to exercise and to seek professional advice if necessary.
GENERAL TERMS
17. You agree to follow the Club Rules displayed at the facility, including rules regarding conduct, opening hours, and use of facilities. These rules may change with reasonable notice.
18. Only UFit Fitness licensed personal trainers may provide training within the facility unless prior written permission is granted by management. Unauthorized trainers will be asked to leave.
19. Aggressive, abusive, or anti-social behavior towards staff or members will result in immediate termination of your membership, and the club reserves the right to involve the police if necessary.
20. This agreement may be assigned to a third party with prior notice. Your rights will remain unaffected. You may transfer your membership to another individual who agrees to the terms and pays the joining fee.
21. Any disputes arising from this agreement must be resolved under UK law.
22. If any part of this agreement is deemed unenforceable, the remainder will still apply.
23. We may terminate your membership with immediate effect if you breach Club Rules or engage in criminal activity on the premises.
